Title: Nippers Club Championships
Location: Thirroul Beach
Description: The under 6’s + 7’s is just a normal nippers Sunday.
The Under 9’s + up compete in the sprint , marathon, flags, swim, board + Ironperson events. (The Under 8’s do the same events but do a wade instead of the Ironperson). The iron person is not part of the points system for the day as the event has a separate trophy . The iron person is a swim – board – run .The 9’s + 14’s do their ironperson separately .The 10’s + 11’s compete as a group + the 12’s + 13’s compete as a group . Depending how many turn up on the day determines the points allocated eg. 1 ,2 ,3 or 1, 2, 3, 4 etc.

This year’s SRC course will be run on Saturday the 19th November and Sunday 20th November from 9am-5pm at Thirroul Surf Club. Candidates must be no younger than 13 years of age.

Thirroul Surf Life Saving Club are PROUD to announce that we have nominated Chris Stuart as the Nikon Clubbie of the Year 2011.

We are encouraging all members, family and friends to log onto the Nikon Clubbie of Year website and vote for Chris.

Chris Stuart is a dedicated Club member who gives his time freely to many areas of the club. He is committed to the Nippers programme as Age Manager and Nippers Coach, just officially completeing his Coaching Certificate. He is an active Patrolling Member, Gold Medallion Holder, IRB Driver, Masters competitor and medal winner and has been voted Most Outstanding Master and Most outstanding Junior Club person. Chris really does traverse all areas of Life Saving.

Each vote for Chris is worth $10 worth of Nikon equipment, up to a value of $1,000, for Thirroul Surf Club. 100 votes guarantees us $1,000 worth of Nikon equipment of our choice eg binoculars and cameras. We can look at running a raffle and/ or using the prizes within the club.

If Chris wins or snares one of five runner up spots, the club will be awarded up to another $5,000 cash.
