Season 2021 - 22 - Update

As promised, here’s an update for the 2021 Season inline with the NSW Roadmap and SLS NSW guidelines. The main changes are:


  1. We are encouraging our members to renew their membership now via the SLS website here so they can participate in our surf sports, education and nippers programs. 

  2. The first day of nippers is planned for Sunday 5th December at 9.15am

  3. We are looking for new patrollers, so anyone who's interested in getting their Bronze Medallion or SRC, please register for training here

  4. The Club, including the gym, and board storage area, will remain closed until the current building works are completed, which is currently planned for the end of November 2021.

  5. The Function Hall can now start taking bookings

We will be sending further emails and updating our website for patrols, surf sports, education and nippers, but for now please see a short summary below:



  • Our flags are already up every Sunday and Public Holiday and all restrictions around numbers and age limits for patrollers have been lifted.

Nippers Academy

  • Twice weekly training sessions (Wednesday 4pm & Sunday 8am) starting in November - anyone from u8-u14 is very welcome.

Surf Sports

  • Training starts this Thursday afternoon at 4pm and will expand to Wednesday afternoons and Sundays at 8am when all coaches are available

  • The focus is still on completing proficiencies online - see our information sheet here

  • Bronze, SRC & other in-person courses will resume shortly - please register your interest here

Function Hall

  • The Function Hall can now start taking bookings in accordance with the NSW Government Health orders so book in and promote it with your friends and family!

  • Please contact Di Gillet on for any questions


Club Access

  • Club access is still restricted with number limits in place and the ongoing requirements to control access due to the building works

  • If you are not on patrol and you want to access the Club building, under the NSW Government requirements, you will be required to be fully vaccinated.

  • The current building works are progressing well and we are targeting completion by the end of November 2021.

  • The Club, including the gym, and board storage area, will remain closed until the current building works are completed.
